Interface Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA)
Nigel Stansfield is President at Interface for Europe, Middle East and Africa.
The company is a worldwide leader in the design and production of carpet tiles that combine beauty and functionality with environmental credentials to help customers bring their design vision to life.
In his role, Nigel is responsible for setting and leading the company’s growth strategy throughout the EMEA region. This includes driving growth in the core carpet tile business, while also bringing new offerings to market and delivering supply chain efficiencies. He is also spearheading the Interface Mission Zero and more recent Climate Take Back mission focused on reversing global warming and creating a positive impact on the environment.
Since first joining the Interface global project team in 1997, Nigel has gone on to pursue roles in operations, research and development, and product, design and innovation. In 2012, Nigel became a member of the global leadership team, with overall responsibility for Innovations, Sustainability, Product and Design. Most recently, he held the position of Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer.
Nigel was instrumental in developing Net-Works, a unique global business and conservation partnership between Interface and the Zoological Society of London (ZSL). Net-Works tackles the global environmental impact of discarded fishing nets, while providing socio-economic benefits for the developing world’s coastal communities.
Nigel has over 30 years' experience as a textile technologist, and is an expert in yarn, carpet and carpet manufacturing. He regularly speaks on a variety of subjects including open innovations, biomimicry, supply chain strategy and inclusive business and how Interface uses these concepts to design, make and sell its modular flooring.
