Our Partners
Interface partners with a range of individuals and organizations outside the company to help us achieve our Mission Zero™ goals – they are our mentors, people who inspire us and people who help us tackle tough challenges. Working with outsiders broadens our knowledge on technical issues, connects us with like-minded organizations, more easily solves complex technical issues, and frames challenges in completely different ways.
Our partner relationships are often shaped into advisory councils, working groups, collective problem solving teams or one-on-one learning. They provide research and information, and keep us aware of emerging sustainability issues, technologies and solutions. Our partners also serve as peer-to-peer connections - sharing information and bringing together like-minded companies to collectively solve problems.
As we achieve our Mission Zero goals, these partnerships also give Interface a unique opportunity to share our knowledge and teach others. Formalized through our InterfaceRAISE consulting business, this allows us to serve as a mentor to companies just setting off on their own sustainability journeys.
Here’s an overview of several of our current partnerships:
The World Resources Institute: Green Power Market Development Group
Interface works with this Washington, D.C.-based environmental think tank and a council of other corporate members, such as Staples, Dow, Johnson & Johnson and Starbucks, to build markets for renewable energy and use the collective group purchasing power to source green power for member companies.

EPA Landfill Methane Outreach Program (LMOP)
The US Environmental Protection Agency’s LMOP partnership is a valued partnership and great resource – providing information on the business case for landfill gas projects as well as national and state-by-state resources that can be used to identify candidate landfill projects and help them become a reality.
